DEVO. 12.11.24

““Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.” (Revelation‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- Do you want to be Victorious in your Christian life?

- Do you want to be successful?

- In the book of Revelation, Jesus says that you must listen to the Spirit of God and understand.

- The Amplified Translation says, “hear and heed”. To heed is to obey.

- So what is the important message that Jesus is giving the Church? Yes, this is a personal letter to the Church, not to the World.

- In verse 3, He says, “You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.”

- ‭‭They were a hard working Church and a Church that did not tolerate evil.

- But then He says, “But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first!”

- ‭Wow! In order to be victorious is that you must Love Jesus!

- Your work for Him cannot come out of a sense of duty but you work for Him must flow out of your love for Him.

- If you want to be victorious as a Christian, “you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’”

- ‭‭That is the most important thing!

- The big question is, “Do I love Jesus as much as I did when I first repented of my sin and gave my life to Him?”

- The moment that you understood that your debt, that you could not pay, had been paid!

- Ask yourself, “Do I love Him as much as I did then?”

- Do I love to hear His word?

- Do I love to worship Him?

- So I regularly spend time with Him?

- Do I love the things that He loves and hate what He hates?

- Do I spend time regularly worshipping Him, not just in a church building but on my own?

- Today, ask yourself these questions and if you are not as “In Love” as you once were, then Repent!

- Repent means to turn!

- So, turn back to that “In Love” relationship with Him.

- He wants you to be victorious!

- He has told you how.

- Will you listen and obey?

- Have a great Wednesday!
