DEVO. 05.08.25

“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.” (‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

- Here, in the opening chapter of Joshua, are Gods instructions for any leader who wants to be successful.

- First, you can’t be focused on your past, because your past is not your future!

- The Past is what you build upon.

- Joshua was building upon the foundation that Moses laid but Joshua had to do it based on His own relationship with the Lord.

- “Moses is dead”.

- Joshua could not go to Moses anymore with questions.

- HE could not ask Moses what to do or how to do it.

- That whole process was dead!

- He had to go directly to the Lord. He had to have his own authentic relationship with the Lord.

- The Lord is the one who gives vision and direction!

- The old system is done. The Lord says “Arise”. That means It’s time to “Stand up”.’

- You can no longer sit still or look back, you must stand up and look forward.

- Then the Lord says, “Go over”. That means that it’s time to move and step out in the direction of His promise.

- You’ve seen it but now you need to move into it.

- This is a big faith step!

- Then there are those who you need to bring with you.

- God says to bring “you and all”

- There will be those on your walk of faith who haven’t seen what you have seen but you need to mentor and demonstrate what it looks like to walk into your promise.

- Many times it’s more difficult to trust that God will take care of others as He has taken care of you.

- And finally, the destination. You are headed, “To the land”, This is the Promise.

- The promise must go from What God reveals to you, and plant His promise in your heart!

- You may see it in the spirit before you see it in the natural.

- It’s seeing it before you see it.

- And then you possess the promise.

- Today, spend some time with the Lord and allow Him to reveal His promises to your heart.

- Stand up and see what He sees!
