DEVO. 08.03.26
““When we were at Mount Sinai, the Lord our God said to us, ‘You have stayed at this mountain long enough. It is time to break camp and move on. (Deuteronomy 1:6-7 NLT)
- After crossing the Red Sea and seeing the miracles of God as he delivered them out of Egypt, and how he defeated their enemies. The children of Israel came to Mount Sinai.
- Sinai is the Mountain of the Lord.
- It is here that they encountered the presence of the Lord.
- Here is where the tablets were given.
- It is at Mount Sinai where the covenant was established and the Lord married His people.
- It was an amazing time, but even so, God had a destination for them.
- He had a land that He needed to take them to.
- He said, “You have stayed at this mountain long enough.”
- This is a warning to all of us.
- Be careful not to stay in a place of comfort too long.
- There is a purpose to walking in the promises of God and taking it to others.
- There is a time to abide and stay.
- There is a time to be filled up and renewed but there is also a time to be a carrier of the covenant relationship that you have and take it to others.
- It may be awesome that you are filled with the spirit, but what are you doing with it?
- Who are you taking it to?
- Whose life are you touching and making an impact on because of what he has done in you.
- The Sinai moment was a beautiful moment but they were not meant to stay there.
- The same as your salvation experience!
- You are meant to carry the message of Jesus to others.
- Jesus said, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19 NLT)
- He did not say “stay!”
- He said “Go!”
- You are called by God to touch lives and change your world.
- Don’t stay in comfort when He has called you to go!
- Go and build a testimony!
- Have a great Monday!
