DEVO. 05.04.26
“Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more.” (Mark 4:24 NLT)
- How well do you listen?
- If you want to grow in your walk with the Lord, then you must be a good listener.
- Jesus says “The closer you listen the more understanding you will be given”
- But it starts with simply listening.
- Listening to the words of Jesus is vital to your development as a Christian.
- When you get into scripture, read it and re-read it!
- Study it, not just for knowledge sake, but for the sake of applying it to your life!
- James 1:25 says, “Whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.”
- Looking intently!
- As you listen to the Word of God and read the Word of God always ask the Spirit of God to speak through His Word.
- Linger in His Word and allow it to bring conviction, correction and inspiration!
- God always has something to say but the question is, “Are you listening?”
- And once you hear it, it’s important to obey and apply it your life.
- James 1:22 says, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
- Hearing and ignoring His word leads to deception, but hearing and doing what He says leads to His blessing!
- Be a Hearer and a Doer!
- Have a great Monday!
