DEVO. 08.16.26
“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.” (Psalms 73:26 NLT)
- We all will face a time when we are no longer as strong as we once were.
- We will have times when our health fails
- We will have physical, mental, emotional and spiritual battles.
- The question is, have you determined in your heart that God will remain your strength?
- To remain means that when everything else wears out, God is still there and you are holding tightly to Him.
- If God remains the strength of your heart, that means that you love Him with all of your heart!
- Matthew 22:37 says that we are to “ ‘Love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind.’
- Heart means your deep feelings, desires, and emotional core.
- Soul means your spiritual life and the deepest part of your being.
- Mind means your thoughts, choices, learning, and reason.
- Strength means your physical power, time, work, and daily actions
- So when we say, like the Psalmist, “God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever”, we are saying that He has all of us!
- He has our heart, soul, mind, and strength!
- When we surrender all of ourselves to the Lord like that, then we are saying that He remains the strength of our heart forever.”
- He can do whatever He wants to do with us.
- God can strengthen our Spirit!
- God can fill us with fresh vision!
- God can help us to see farther down the road, spiritually, regardless of our limited physical eyesight.
- When God speaks, dead things come alive!
- When God shows up, all chains can break off!
- When God moves, hope is restored!
- Determine today, that He will remain the strength of your heart.
- Don’t just say you love Him, remain “In love” with Jesus!
- Trust in Him and nothing else!
- Love Him more than you love anything else!
- Don’t let money get between your love relationship with Him.
- Don’t let success get in between your love for Him.
- Don’t let other relationship get in between the most important relationship that you have, that is your relationship with Jesus!
- James 4:8 says, when you “Come close to God, God will come close to you.”
- Today, let Him remain your strength!
- Have a great Wednesday!
