DEVO. 04.30.24
"And you are those who have remained [throughout] and persevered with Me in My trials;" (Luke 22:28 AMP)
- There is Value in Remaining and persevering.
- No matter what you are going through...
- No matter what difficulties or struggles you are facing...
- Remain & Persevere.
- Keep trusting, keep believing...keep the Faith!
- Philippians 1:6 says, "I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you." (Philippians 1:6 AMP)
- This means that Jesus will never give up on you and He can give you the strength to not give up on Him.
- He will continue...so you continue!
- In Luke 22, Jesus gives His Disciples, those who have "Remained and Persevered" great Honor Honor and Reward for their Perseverence!
- He says, "And just as my Father has granted me a Kingdom, I now grant you the right to eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. And you will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."(v.30)
- Why were they blessed?
- Why were they honored with these promises?
- Because of their Perseverence!
- Their ability to not give up!
- Their complete trust in Jesus even when things got tough.
- Jesus is saying to you today - Don't Give up!
- Don't Quit!
- It may seem like it has been a long time since you have felt His presence, or...
- It may seem like you have been in a long spiritual drought...
- but His reward is on it's way!
- You will be blessed for your faithfulness.
- You will be rewarded just for your ability to stay close to Jesus when everyone else has given up.
- Remember, He will continue His work in you, so continue in Him!
- Stay close to Him today.
- He is "developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you."
- Do You see that - "In You"!
- He is doing a work in you, to prepare you for His Great work that He has planned for you!
- Get ready!
- Jesus says, in Rev. 3:21, "Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne."
- Once again, Honor!
- He gives you Honor and promotion just for your Perseverence!
- Hang in there... God isn't finished with you yet!
