DEVO. 04.28.26
“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act…”
(Psalms 37:7 NLT)
- Be Still.
- It’s a strong command but such a difficult thing to do!
- But the key to being still is who you are with.
- The Psalmist says “In the presence of the Lord”
- When you wait on Him, you are waiting with the one who is the answer to the problem!
- You are waiting with your healer!
- In Exodus 15:26 , He says “I am the Lord, who heals you.”
- You are waiting with the Joy giver!
- Nehemiah 8:10 says, “the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
- You are waiting with Peace.
- “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)
- You are waiting with perfect Love.
- 1 John 4:8 says, “God is Love”
- So if you are waiting with Love, it also means that you are in the absence of fear!
- 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.”
- When you wait with the Lord, and Hide yourself in Him, Fear will be driven out from in front of you, along side of you and from behind you!
- While you are waiting on Him it does not mean that nothing is happening and things are stagnant.
- While you are waiting God is working!
- And while you are waiting, God is doing something amazing in you!
- Isaiah 40:31 says that “Those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
- God is renewing your strength as you wait.
- God is preparing you to run and not wear out.
- God is giving you the ability to walk and not pass out!
- He’s infusing you with energy from the Holy Spirit!
- He is building you and strengthening you!
- Today, learn the importance and the power of being still in the presence of the Lord!
- Have a great Tuesday!
