"Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.”

(Mark 2:5 NLT)

- In Mark 2, there is this story of a paralyzed man who was being brought to Jesus by his four friends to be healed.

- But they came up against a "roadblock."

- There was a "detour" to his healing.

- Verse 2 says, "Soon the house where He (Jesus) was staying was so packed with visitors that there was no more room, even outside the door."

- Imagine their disappointment when they got to the house that Jesus was staying and they couldn't even get close.

- Most of us would have given up at this point.

- Most would have turned around and gone back home.

- But his faith and the faith of his friends rose above the doubt and discouragement.

- His faith said "Yes!" when everything else was saying "No."

- His faith was greater than the "roadblock"

- His Faith made him look around and say, "how can I get to Jesus?"

- His faith would not take "No" for an answer.

- It's interesting, verse 2 says, "While He (Jesus) was preaching God’s word to them".

- They just had to get Him to "The Word."

- As the "four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat."

- Verse 4 says, "They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus."

- Their faith had to meet "His Word."

- They lowered the paralyzed man right down in front of "The Word"!

- The word that says healing.

- The word that created faith.

- The word that speaks a blessing.

- The word that speaks "victory."

- His word gave him much more than a physical healing!

- His Word delivered forgiveness of sins, eternal life and physical healing!

- He received of His abundance!

- John 1:16 says, "From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another."

- All of this mans needs were met because of his faith.

- So the question is, what has made you give up on your miracle?

- What "roadblock" has made you turn around?

- Where have you given up and quit pursuing your dreams?

- Today, stir up your faith!

- Awaken those dead dreams.

- Don't take "No" for an answer.

- Receive all that He has in store for you, today!

- Receive His abundance!
