DEVO. 01.04.24
“For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’ ”
(Matthew 3:3 NKJV)
- Isaiah was prophesying about the ministry of John the Baptist.
- John the Baptist went before Jesus and was preparing the way for Jesus
- In the same way, we are to prepare the way for Jesus’ soon return. We are the John the Baptist of our day.
- Jesus is coming and He is coming soon!
- The signs are all around us but only to those who are watching and waiting.
- Luke 12:35 says, “keep your lamps burning, as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks.”
- “The moment he arrives”!
- There will be a moment, and at that moment everything changes!
- Our message must be to Repent!
- Repent means to change our ways and thinking.
- We need to change our inner self!
- Change your old way of thinking, and to regret past sins.
- We are to live our life in a way that proves our repentance.
- We need to chase after God’s purpose for our life!
- Because the kingdom of heaven is at hand. It’s close…real close!
- But you need to help others to see that.
- Point out the clear signs!
- Change your ways and live all out for Jesus.
- Today is the day of Salvation!
- Have a great weekend!
