DEVO. 06.26.25

“For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’” (Acts 17‬:‭28‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- In Him! This is a powerful phrase!

- The Apostle Paul said in verse 24, that it is “God who made the world and everything in it.”

- He made it all and “He himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else”

- If He gives you your breath then that means He is not only Creator but He is your sustainer.

- Everything flows from Him.

- Verse 27 says, “God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him.

- Bottom line: life works better with Him.

- Not just acknowledging who He is but asking Him to lead and direct your life!

- If you want to know how a cell phone works best and how you can get the most out of it, you would go to the designer of that cell phone.

- They would know everything about it and all of the hidden features and shortcuts.

- Now, of course you can try to figure it all out by yourself and discover all the possibilities on your own but it would take you a significant amount of time and you would probably never discover all of the features.

- You know, God does the same for us.

- We can try to figure out life on our own or we can turn to Him and ask for His wisdom and guidance.

- He gave us His Word (The Bible) as and instruction manual of how to get the most out of life and how to be blessed.

- Or we can choose to ignore it and learn on our own!

- He wants you to seek Him, and he wants you to trust him and rely on Him!

- You are His child and He wants to spend time with you and direct your life in ways that lead to His Best!

- Have you taken the time today to acknowledge and thank God for the very breath that you breathe?

- Have you asked Him for wisdom and guidance?

- Have you spent time in His instruction manual (Bible)?

- Today, slow down long enough to hear from your Creator.

- Have a great Thursday!
