DEVO 02.19.24

DEVO. 02.19.24

”When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord.“ ‭(Exodus‬ ‭34‬:‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬)\

- Who or what are you pursuing today?

- We pursue titles, recognition, approval, relationships, fitness, money and so much more!

- But there will always be one thing that rises above the others.

- And your highest pursuit matters because it influences everything else.

- It becomes your filter.

- Everything else will be filtered through your highest pursuit.

- Your highest pursuit matters.

- Moses’ pursuit, led Him to the presence of the Lord and the presence of the Lord rubbed off on Him.

- Moses’ highest pursuit saved a nation but saving the nation was not his highest pursuit. It was a byproduct of His highest pursuit.

- Moses’ pursuit ultimately led him to the top of the mountain, where Exodus 34:28 says, ”Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights. And the Lord wrote the terms of the covenant—the Ten Commandments—on the stone tablets.

- And when Moses returned, he came back a changed man!

- He carried the Word of the Lord and the Glory of the Lord!

- The Word in his hands and heart and the glory on his face and countenance.

- What if we had the passionate pursuit of the Lord like Moses did.

- What if the time you spent in the Lords presence literally changed your countenance?

- What if, when people saw you, they could automatically tell that you had been with Jesus?

- What if the glow of the Lord came from within and it changed your mindset, your attitude, your words and your actions?

- Today, don’t settle for ordinary devotion time.

- Take some time to linger in His presence.

- Get in His Word and let His Word get in you!

- Worship Him and talk with Him.

- Remain with Him until you know that His presence has made a difference and changed you!

- I pray that you would glow from the presence of the Lord!

- Have a great Monday.
