DEVO. 08.12.24
“Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent.” (1 Kings 18:21 NLT)
- Here are the children of God, the ones who were called by His name.
- The people who were nothing and God rescued them with His mighty right hand and took them from being slaves and made them His prized possession.
- Now, Elijah, the prophet of God is giving them a challenge.
- He says, “How long?”
- It’s decision time!
- How long are you going to keep following false idols which bring you no hope.
- How long will you turn your back on God?
- How long will you keep playing around with things that lead you into spiritual poverty when you could be living in spiritual abundance?
- The same question comes to us this morning.
- How long will you try to have one foot in the world and one foot in Christianity?
- How long will you keep playing with “dead things” until you yourself become dead?
- How long will you keep up the charade?
- 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
- Do it now!
- Don’t wait!
- Today make the decision to be 100% committed to Jesus.
- You cannot be a part-time Christian.
- It’s All or Nothing!
- Jesus said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.” (Matt.16:24)
- The cross means death to your own way and saying, “Yes” to Jesus’ way.
- Today, make the choice and don’t waiver!
- Go “All In”!
- Have a great Monday!
