DEVO. 07.06.26
“As for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.” (Psalms 55:16-17 NIV)
- Psalm 55 is a prayer of David after he has experienced deep betrayal from a friend.
- Many scholars think it may have been from the betrayal by Absalom.
- The key part of this scripture is his understanding that when He calls out to God, the Lord hears.
- God is there.
- And not only does He hear but He will rescue you!
- Verse 18 says, “He rescues me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me.”
- If the Lord will do it for David, the Lord can do it for you.
- No matter how bad your trouble looks or how many are against you, God is for you!
- Romans 8:31 says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
- Never let your problems or struggles doubt whether He hears you or doubt His love for you!
- Settle it in your heart, “God Loves you!”
- Personalize it and say out loud, “God loves me!”
- And because He loves you, “God hears you!”
- Say, “God hears me.”
- And because God hears you, “God will rescue you!"
- Say, “God will rescue me.”
- Now after you have said that, what does that mean to you?
- Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”
- God loves you so much that He already gave up Jesus for you!
- He has already rescued you and He will continue to rescue you!
- He says that He will “graciously give us all things.”
- Today, don’t doubt Him, trust Him!
- Call on Him!
- He hears and He is there!
- Have a great Monday!
