DEVO. 05.29.26
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV)
- Today is our final day of spreading the Word of God in Uganda!
- So far we have preached to 6, 370 people and given out 5, 589 Bibles.
- For most people this is the very first Bible that they have owned.
- We are here to equip people with the word of God.
- We don’t just give them a Bible without explaining it.
- We have a 6 hour teaching from Genesis through Revelation so that they know the story of the Bible and they know how to study and use it.
- It’s like giving them a head Star.
- At the end of this day we will place that Bible in their hand and they can take off and run with it!
- Today was rainy outside and we had a smaller group.
- The question is, will I teach them with as much passion as I taught the larger groups?
- The answer is a big “Yes!”
- I come with one job and that is to “Equip” those that the Lord puts in front of me.
- My job is not to go outside and bring them in.
- I am an “Equipper.” I am just one part of the body of Christ and my calling is to give my best and equip them to the best of my ability.
- I will Equip them with everything that I have so that they are Thoroughly Equipped.
- I want them to leave here without questions
- I want them to leave feeling thoroughly equipped
- When you are thoroughly equipped, you will feel confident sharing the word of God with others.
- Being thoroughly equipped comes with a boldness!
- Being thoroughly equipped comes with Gods blessing!
- How about you?
- Will you equip those that God puts in front of you?
- will you lead a set apart and pure life and serve God?
- It starts with your family.
- Equip your family!
- Then your friends!
- God gave you friends so that you would share Jesus with them
- Then your neighbors
- Then your community
- Then your city, your state, then the nation and then the world.
- As God opens doors, just walk through the door!
- Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:19-20)
- But before you reach the world you have to reach your home.
- Pray for your home, intercede for your home and teach your home.
- Don’t worry about the size of your mission field.
- Be faithful with what God gives you and who he places in front of you and trust God to produce the growth.
- Start where you are and start with the Word of God!
- Have a great weekend!
