DEVO. 05.08.26

“For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”” (‭‭Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

- “She said…”

- Not “She hoped”

- Not “She wished”

- “She said…”

- That’s the power of your words. Even your “self talk”

- What are the things that you say to yourself?

- Are you repeating the things that others have spoken over you or are you speaking the word of the Lord?

- Do you say things like, “I’ll always be broke”?

- “I’ll always be sick”?

- “I’ve always been rejected”?

- “No one is able to help me”?

- This woman had no right to be amongst the crowd, let alone in the presence of Jesus.

- For 12 years she had been bleeding.

- 12 years of sickness

- 12 years of disappointment

- 12 years of rejection.

- 12 years of being the outcast!

- But she said, “If I can just touch Jesus“

- She said it and she was going after it!

- The hem of His garment!

- Just get me close enough to touch!””

- She knew that the prophet Malachi said “But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings;”(Malachi‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

- The borders of His garment!

- The tassels that hung off His “tallit”

- Her faith in who Jesus was and what He could do pushed her out of despair and into hope and healing

- Her Faith met the Healer!

- She could have complained and talked about her 12 years of sickness all day long and received no relief.

- But She Said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

- Then His first words were “Daughter”

- Daughter means accepted!

- Daughter means healed

- Daughter means, you belong!

- Daughter means that He brings you in under the protection of His wings!

- Today let your self talk lead you to Jesus!

- Regardless of all the words that Have been spoken over you and said about you, just go after one thing!

- Chase after Him!

- Listen to Him!

- Receive His Word which changes everything!

- Receive His touch!

- Have a great weekend!
