DEVO. 04.17.24
”Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.“
(Luke 17:33 NKJV)
- What are your goals and dreams?
- Are your dreams built upon what you can do and accomplish in this world?
- Is it a position, a title, a relationship or even your own security?
- These are good things but Jesus says that if your goal is to save your life (in this world), you are ultimately going to lose it!
- You can build up piles of cash, tons of medals, certificates and awards.
- You can receive plenty of pats on the back and a lot of recognition.
- But at the end of the day… your final day, only the things done for Christ will last.
- Everyone will quickly learn that the spiritual is far more important than the physical.
- James 4:14, says, ”What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.“
- No matter what you try to do in the natural, it will ultimately vanish!
- You can’t hang onto it and you can’t rely on it.
- Jesus wants us to focus on the spiritual! Focus on what you physically can’t see!
- He says ”Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.“ (Matthew 6:33)
- You need to pray, be in the Word and then serve!
- How much time have you spent praying?
- How much time have you spent in the Word of God?
- That’s the important stuff!
- Then out of that relationship you see where he wants you to serve!
- You might not get one single accolade here on earth but your Father in heaven sees and He will reward!
- If you are willing to lose your life here on earth, you will ultimately save it.
- You will gain all that heaven has to offer!
- Live your life for the audience of one!
- Live it for Jesus!
