DEVO 05.02.24

DEVO. 05.02.24

”Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving.“ ‭‭(Colossians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

- It’s National Day of Prayer, today, and we are reminded by the Apostle Paul to be persistent and devoted to prayer.

- Persistent means that you keep praying even when you haven’t seen the breakthrough.

- Persistent means that you keep pressing into God’s presence not in order to get something from Him but to get Him.

- Persistent means that you are not going to give up.

- And Devoted means that you are strongly attached and committed.

- In other words, it’s not a once in a while thing that you do. It is part of who you are.

- Being devoted means every day, every hour and every minute of the day.

- As soon as someone shares a problem, prayer is your first reaction!

- And it is with an attitude of Thanksgiving.

- We can actually have a thankful heart even before we see the answer.

- Our hearts should be so full of Thankfulness because Jesus has already won the victory for us on the cross.

- Theresa is nothing that you face today that He has not equipped for.

- 2 Peter 1:3 says, ”By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life...”

- He has already equipped us and empowered us to live vicariously!

- When you pray, pray as if you already have what you are praying for!

- Philippians 4:6 says, ”Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.“

- ‭‭Don’t worry, instead, pray!

- Not about some things but about everything.

- And when you are praying about everything with a heart of Thanksgiving, then You will be thankful all the time.

- That leave no time for whining and complaining about what you don’t have.

- When you show up somewhere, thankfulness shows up!

- When thankfulness gets in you like that, people will notice!

- Not only will you be changed but everyone around you will be changed.

- Today, simply pray!

- Have a great Thursday.
