”There has never been a day like this one before or since, when the Lord answered such a prayer. Surely the Lord fought for Israel that day!“ (Joshua 10:14 NLT)
- How have your prayers sounded like to God?
- Have you been praying, “Just help me to get through this”, type of prayers?
- Have your prayers been small and minimal?
- Ephesians 3.20 says, ”Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.“
- Infinitely More than what you ask or think!
- Let’s use Joshua’s prayer to God as our example.
- Joshua 10:12 says, ”Joshua prayed to the Lord in front of all the people of Israel. He said, “Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.”“
- What kind of a prayer is that?
- He prayed boldly, in front of the people, who probably thought, “That’s impossible!”
- Maybe some thought “Joshua has lost his mind! The sun and moon can’t stop!”
- But Joshua was bold enough to pray it! And because He was bold enough to pray it, God was happy to answer it!
- God loves answering impossible prayers!
- Don’t look at all your limitations and list all the reasons that God can’t do something!
- How about praying for the impossible
- All it takes is your words and your heart!
- Don’t worry about the let down.
- Don’t be afraid of God not answering as you want.
- Simply, have faith and pray!
- Pray to your God who loves to do the impossible!
- Maybe it’s a sickness or illness.
- Maybe it’s a broken marriage or broken relationship.
- Maybe it’s a spiritually lost son or daughter.
- Maybe it’s a struggle or an addiction.
- Whatever it is, pray to God for what you think is impossible.
- What you think is impossible, is possible with God!
- Luke 1:37 says, ”For with God nothing will be impossible.”“
- NOTHING!
- Let your prayers this morning, be filled with Big impossible sounding prayers.
- Let’s pray for the impossible because we have a God who loves to hear it and answer it!
- Let your heart and mind be filled with breakthrough and victory!
