DEVO. 04.12.24
“Now when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, it roams through waterless (dry, arid) places in search of rest, but it does not find it. (Matthew 12:43 AMP)
- Have you experienced true freedom through Jesus Christ in every area of your life?
- I think we tend to look at portions of scripture like this and think of someone who has been demon-possessed.
- Someone completely taken over by demons.
- But we have all kinds of influences by evil spirits.
- Any spirit that is not from God is an evil spirit.
- There are addictive spirits.
- Spirits of depression
- Spirits of fear
- Spirits of anger and rage
- Spirits of lust
- Controlling spirits
- Obviously, I could go on and on.
- We tend to look at these as problems but not as having a spiritual root.
- Everything is spiritual!
- This scripture says that a spirit roams and it is looking for a place to rest.
- That spirit roams through dry places.
- Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order.
- The key is to keep your life filled with the Holy Spirit.
- Being filled with the spirit is not a one time thing, it’s an every day thing.
- Every morning, surrender your life to Jesus and ask him for a fresh filling.
- Don’t give room to the devil!
- Not in your mind, not your attitude, not in your actions, not anywhere!
- Every day, walk with Jesus, talk with Him and become completely dependent on Him.
- When he fills you. It’s like putting up a “No Entrance sign” to the devil.
- If there’s “No Room”, then he’s got to move on!
- Don’t live in fear, Live in Faith!
- 1 John 4:18 tells us that ”Perfect love casts out fear,”
- And 1 John 4:8 tells us ”God is love.“
- So, if you are walking with God then you are walking with Love.
- And if you are filled with God’s Spirit, then you are filled with love.
- This means that when you are filled with the Spirit of God, you are casting out fear!
- Today, make sure that you are filled with the Spirit and experiencing true Freedom!
- Have a great weekend.
