DEVO. 03.22.24
“Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment. (Matthew 9:22 NLT)
- Be encouraged this morning!
- This phrase (Daughter, be encouraged) can also be phrased this way - "Take Courage, Daughter"
- There is significance in Jesus calling her "daughter".
- This was the woman who had an been sick for 12 years!
- 12 years of sickness.
- 12 years of being an outcast.
- 12 years of being "labeled".
- Her circumstances said she would never be healed..."Hopeless"
- Society said she was not normal... "Rejected"
- Her Future was limited
- Her outlook was bleak.
- 12 years of No interaction or personal touch.
- It affected her physically, socially, financially and spiritually.
- Then Jesus calls her "Daughter"
- Don't let anyone tell you "who you are".
- This morning, only let Jesus tell you "who you are"
- Regardless of what people say, what your job says, what your past says, what your degree says, what your circumstance say...What does Jesus say?
- He says "Take Courage"
- "Take Courage" because the next word I speak defines you.
- "Daughter"
- That one word silenced all of the other words she had heard for 12 years.
- What word is Jesus speaking to you this morning?
- If nothing else, allow HIM to speak to you and your circumstance this morning.
- He always speaks to your potential...who He knows you really are and can be.
- He says, You are Accepted.
- You are Loved.
- You are Healed.
- You are forgiven.
- You are adopted into the family of God.
- You are successful.
- You are __________. (fill in the blank)
- Who has defined you and your circumstance this morning?
- It's time to redefine!
- Allow Jesus to redefine!
- Allow Him to speak to your identity, your potential and your future.
- "And the woman was healed AT THAT MOMENT!"
- Let Him Redefine Your Moment!
