DEVO. 10.27.25

“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” (‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- “Put on...”

- These first two words are very important.

- Imagine for a moment, getting up and going throughout your day without putting your clothes on!

- That would be unthinkable!

- You would be embarrassed

- You would be shy

- You wouldn’t have any confidence.

- You would try to hide certain parts of your body with anything you could find.

- Now, compare that to the spiritual armor that the apostle Paul tells you to put on.

- Just as physical clothes have a purpose, so do spiritual clothes.

- He says, “put on...” all of Gods armor “so that...”

- “So that” means, “this the purpose”

- The purpose to the whole armor is to “stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”

- If you don’t stand firm, you will get knocked down!

- He gives us insight as to why this is so important.

- You and I “are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”

- ‭‭The unseen is more real than the seen.

- If you don’t see and understand this, then you are going to get destroyed!

- There is more “unseen” involved in the “seen” than you realize!

- If a soldier is fighting in a battle without his armor and without his shield or sword, he has 0% of survival!

- Your enemy, the Devil, has a counterfeit armor for all of Gods spiritual armor and he will that Gods Word and use it against you.

- That’s why you need to put every piece on, every day!

- Every piece has a purpose!

- Today you need the belt of truth. You need the breastplate of righteousness.

- You need your feet fitted with the Gospel of peace in preparation.

- You need the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation!

- And of course you need to take with you the sword of the Spirit!

- Then he says, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints!

- There is no time to take your armor off and walk around the battlefield naked!

- That would be ridiculous!

- So today, put it on! Know your enemy and realize that you are in a battle!
