DEVO. 10.09.25

“We are writing to the church in Thessalonica, to you who belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. May God give you grace and peace.” (‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- Paul, in writing to the church, says, “May God give you grace & peace.”

- These are 2 things that you need if you want to live as an overcomer!

- First, grace.

- In another letter to the church, he says, “For it is by grace you have been saved,through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”

- You are saved by His grace.

- You cannot have salvation without it!

- His grace is essential!

- But His grace isn’t limited to “just saving you,” it gives you the power to live the Christian life!

- In 2 Corinthians 9:8 He says, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”

- ‭‭”All grace abound!” That means to come in abundance so that you will have the ability you need, when you need it!

- Second, he says, “peace.”

- If you are not living in peace then you are living in confusion, turmoil and chaos.

- Philippians 4:7 says that His Peace “Exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

- His Peace actually ‭”stands guard over your hearts and your minds.”

- Peace reassures you and peace protects you!

- Peace comes in the person of Jesus Christ who is “The Prince of Peace”!

- So today, I pray that God gives you grace and peace!

- Receive it and walk in it!
