DEVO. 10.03.25
“For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!” (Isaiah 64:4 NLT)
- What are you waiting for?
- That question can be taken different ways.
- You can either be waiting on someone or an event.
- You can be waiting for something to start or something to end.
- You can be waiting for help or waiting to give help.
- Either way, waiting is not easy.
- The Amplified says that God “works and acts in behalf of the one who [gladly] waits for Him.”
- Why would you be “gladly waiting”?
- Because you know that In your waiting God is working!
- God is cooking up something good for you and the longer you wait for the meal He has for you, the better it gets!
- Your wait may be because God is strategizing and working on many hearts around you and preparing people who can help you accomplish the thing that He has for you.
- Never underestimate the power of God
- In the first part of this verse, Isaiah reveals to us that “No ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you.”
- He is a great and mighty God who is abundant in power and creativity!
- He is absolutely awesome!
- So although you may feel like you are doing nothing, you need to understand that God is up to something
- Philippians 4:19 says, “Your God shall supply ALL your needs according to His riches in glory!”
- Do you have needs? Probably many needs and guess what? God not only knows all of your needs but He has the power to meet your needs!
- So the next time that you are impatient with God's timing and God's ways, just realize that has been working since the beginning of time to prepare you for the plan that He has for you!
- He is a God who works for those who wait for Him!
- Keep waiting because what God is preparing is only going to get better.
- Have a great weekend!
