DEVO. 07.31.25
“For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this; therefore, from now on you will have wars.” (2 Chronicles 16:9 AMP)
- Gods eyes are going back and forth, to and fro!
- He’s looking and searching!
- He’s not looking for the most popular.
- He’s not looking for the most organized.
- He’s not looking for the wealthy!
- He’s looking for one thing.
- Those those whose heart is completely His.
- 100%
- Not divided!
- Not half in and half out!
- In 2 Chronicles 14:2 , it says, “Asa did what was pleasing and good in the sight of the Lord his God.”
- He was removing all the idols and all of the pagan worship.
- He trusted God completely and even turned to God and trusted in Him when he was outnumbered in battle.
- God blessed Him during His reign and gave him peace.
- But in the 36th year of his reign he made a treaty with King Baasha instead of trusting in God’s protection
- A prophet of the Lord came to him and said “Because you have put your trust in the king of Aram instead of in the Lord your God, you missed your chance to destroy the army of the king of Aram.” (16:7)
- He reminded King Asa of the time when he completely trusted in the Lord!
- It was “God + Nothing”
- Now King Asa added, “God + something”
- “Something” = man’s help.
- He is searching for those whose heart is completely His.
- Let’s learn a lesson from Asa.
- Is there any area of your life where you have added man’s help to Gods power.
- Maybe it’s your own wisdom to Gods power!
- Learn to let go of anything that is added to Gods power!
- It’s got to be God + Nothing!
- That’s what it means to be completely His!
- He is the Creator and you are the created!
- His ways are best!
- He simply want you to trust Him completely and wholeheartedly!
- He is searching for those who will do that and He will bring you peace and guidance.
- Today give Him 100%
- Have a great Thursday!
