DEVO. 06.16.25
“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV)
- At the close of the Apostle Paul’s second letter to the church of Corinth he mentions Grace, Love and fellowship.
- The grace of God is his nearness and power to do what we would ordinarily not have the power to do.
- The love of God is the father’s love with all of His blessing.
- The fellowship with the Holy Spirit is essential and is what grabbed my attention.
- Many times we think of the Spirit as a force or a power but not a person.
- The person of the Holy Spirit is the third part of the Trinity.
- Holy Spirit is God but also most definitely a person.
- In order to experience his power and His presence is through fellowship.
- So the question is, Have you had fellowship with the Holy Spirit?
- If you don’t have fellowship then you won’t walk in His power.
- If you don’t have fellowship then you won’t experience His peace.
- The word “Fellowship” is a Greek word, “Koinonia”, which means communion, intimacy or joint partnership.
- So instead of saying, have you had fellowship with the Holy Spirit this morning, I can just as easily say, “Have you had intimacy with the Holy Spirit this morning?”
- Without a doubt, you know whether you have been intimate with the Holy Spirit.
- Intimacy cannot be rushed but it can definitely be missed.
- Intimacy means that you slow down and get out of your rushed pace and “get er done” mindset and get completely vulnerable.
- Intimacy means that you position your heart to receive.
- I really believe that our rushed pace of life and busy schedule is a tool of the enemy to produce more in the flesh but have less time for the Spirit.
- Today, carve out a chunk of time and clear out your schedule and make some time to have intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
- Stop doing, doing, doing and just “Be”
- Be a person of the Spirit.
- Be with Him and be ready to receive!
- Instead of walking away from your quiet time with some “head knowledge”, you may come away with a deposit in your heart that brings more life, brings inner healing and fresh revelation!
- Today, get intimate with the Holy Spirit!
- Have a great Monday!
