DEVO. 02.03.26
“But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” (Psalms 18:6 NLT)
- Do you feel distressed?
- The Amplified puts it like this, “In my distress [when I seemed surrounded] I called upon the Lord and cried to my God for help.”
- Sometimes your problems seem so big that they feel like they're closing in from all sides and surrounding you.
- It can be a financial problem, a struggle in a relationship, an emotional problem or something that has a strong hold on your life.
- It’s gripping and it traps you!
- You may feel like there is no way out but in those times, cry out to the Lord!
- He won’t ignore you.
- He won’t avoid you.
- He says, “‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’” (Jeremiah 33:3)
- Your help is found in His presence.
- This is a Psalm of David. He felt surrounded by problems.
- But he gives us His answer!
- “I prayed to my God for help”
- He calls him, “My God”
- “My God” means He’s personal & relational!
- He wants to hear your voice.
- When you cry out to Him, you are saying, I can’t but you can!
- You are declaring your dependence on Him.
- Your problem may be beyond you, but it’s not beyond your God!
- Our Almighty God is greater than everything that is surrounding you!
- He makes the big problem feel small!
- Today call on His Name!
- He is waiting for you to reach out to Him!
- Have a great Tuesday!
