DEVO. 01.26.26
"He is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." (Hebrews 7:25)
- Do you know that Jesus is interceding for you right now?
- The word intercede means to appeal on behalf of another or to step into the presence of authority to represent someone.
- Jesus is our High priest and He stands before God, the righteous judge, on our behalf.
- He is not just praying for you, He is representing you.
- “He always lives” means that it is ongoing, not just occasional. It’s active, not symbolic and it’s rooted in His resurrected life.
- Jesus’ finished work speaks on your behalf today.
- Jesus’ resurrected life speaks for you today!
- Jesus is not in heaven pleading desperately for you.
- Intercession means that He is applying His finished work on the cross for you.
- He is presenting His righteousness in place of your failure.
- He is securing for you what salvation has already purchased you!
- He is able to save you completely because His intercession never stops!
- Your standing with God is not based on your consistency but on his!
- You are not saved until you mess up and fall, You are saved because Jesus never fails!
- Intercession is Jesus holding your space before God - Forever!
- Celebrate the goodness of God today and thank Jesus who always lives to intercede for you!
- Have a great Monday!
