DEVO. 01.25.25

“I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.”

‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭16‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- Do you know that the Lord is ALWAYS with you?

- Not some of the time but all of the time!

- No matter where you are or what you are doing, He is with you!

- In Genesis 39, we see the example of Joseph, Jacob’s son.

- Joseph had been mistreated and sold into slavery by his own brothers.

- When Jacob is taken to Egypt, as nothing more than a purchased slave, he is sold to Potiphar.

- But Genesis‬ ‭39‬:‭2‬ says, “The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.”

- ‭The world would value Joseph as nothing but God said he had extreme value and said he was something!

- Later we find Joseph is wrongly accused, charged and condemned to a dungeon.

- Joseph had every reason to be bitter, angry and complain, but he chose to trust the Lord and be faithful to God wherever he was.

- Genesis‬ ‭39‬:‭21‬ says, “But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love.”

- The Lord had a way out of that prison, but it came out of His trust and obedience to God.

- Today, it doesn’t matter where you are.

- You could find yourself in a palace or a prison. You could be mistreated and abused, but all you need to know is, “The Lord is always with you.”

- You can boldly say, “I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.”

- ‭‭Wherever you go, just look up and you will discover that He is right there!

- Today, thank Him for His presence!
