DEVO. 12.22.25

“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:7 NKJV)

- It was time!

- Time for the birth of Jesus and the city was overcrowded.

- A decree had gone out from Caesar Augustus that everyone needed to be registered.

- Luke 2:3 says, "So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city."

- Verse 4-5 says, “And because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David’s ancient home. He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, to whom he was engaged, who was now expecting a child.

- "And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.”

- "The Time Came”

- And if you know anything about babies, when it’s time, it’s TIME!

- There is no waiting!

- It didn't matter how crowded the town was.

- The weather didn’t matter, conditions didn’t matter, the setting didn’t matter…It was TIME!

- It was time, but there was no room!

- No room for the Savior of the world.

- No room for the Messiah.

- No time and no room.

- No time to be on His time and no space available to have any room.

- I wonder if that is the same today?

- Still a lot of shopping to do and presents to be bought?

- Still a lot of gifts to be wrapped?

- Still a lot to prepare for family and friends?

- Do you feel rushed and busy?

- I have 2 questions this morning: Will you make time, and will you make room?

- Take a moment today, even if you don’t have time.

- Make time for Jesus!

- Make time to get alone with Jesus

- Remember the true meaning of Christmas

- Get alone with Him.

- Read through the story of His Birth all over again in the Bible.

- Think about what it meant to Mary and Joseph.

- Think about what it meant to the world.

- Think about what it means to you!

- Recapture the true meaning of Christmas.

- Now, make room in your heart!

- Read it with new eyes.

- Hear it with new ears.

- Recapture the Wonder!

- Christ the Savior is Born!

- Make time and room for Jesus this Christmas!

- Have a great Monday!
