DEVO. 11.28.25
“You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word.” (Psalms 119:114 AMP)
- The Lord is your hiding place.
- He is your place of safety!
- Psalm 32:7 says, “He protects you from trouble and He “surrounds you with songs and shouts of deliverance.”
- To protect means that He stands in between the trouble and keeps it from harming you.
- So He protects you from harmful things but that’s not all. He surrounds you with shouts of deliverance and victory.
- It would be good enough if the Lord simply protected you from harmful things, but He also gives you victory over them.
- I am reminded of the time that the Lord led the children of Israel out of Egypt, and Pharaoh and his army was chasing after them.
- Deliverance is God leading them out!
- Praise the Lord that He leads us out of bondage and slavery to sin.
- But God wasn’t done!
- He led them through the waters of the Red Sea and He swallowed up pharaoh and the Egyptian army in that sea!
- God delivered them out and gave them victory over!
- The Lord told them in Exodus 14:13, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
- What do you need protection from today?
- Are you facing circumstances or situations where you need His protection?
- Call on His name but don’t just ask for protection from, remember to ask Him for victory over!
- Wait on His Word! His Word comes with protection and victory!
- Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
- Have a great weekend!
