DEVO 11.24.25

“By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family. By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith. [Gen 6:13-22]” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

- It was by Faith that Noah saved his family!

- His faith was rooted in a healthy fear of God and obedience to His Word!

- Noah valued God's word and trusted God's word.

- God's Word was more important to Noah than what the world around him thought.

- Noah’s faith was absolutely rooted in God's word!

- So do you think that Noah heard the audible voice of God or do you think that the Lord spoke to his heart so loud that he knew exactly what to do?

- The fact is that God spoke, Noah knew the voice was God, Noah trusted the voice of God and Noah obeyed!

- That voice was none other than the still small voice of God that speaks to you today.

- The voice that tell you to turn from sin and live for the righteousness of God.

- The voice that says “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11‬:‭28‬)

- The voice that says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chron. 7‬:‭14‬)

- It’s the voice that leads you to life and guides you into all truth. (John 16:13)

- It’s His voice that reveals that He is a personal God!

- Do you know His voice?

- Noah was an old Testament saint, which means that we have a better covenant today because of Jesus!

- You have a greater ability to hear from God today because the Holy Spirit lives within a believer.

- Today, tell Him that you desire to hear from Him.

- Call on the name of Jesus.

- Slow down and stop all other distractions and voices.

- Get into the word of God.

- Don’t stop reading the Word until He speaks.

- Then step by step follow and obey what you believe He is saying.

- Learn to know how to listen, trust and obey the voice of the Lord!
