DEVO. 09.08.25
“Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”” (Psalms 50:15 NLT)
- Have you ever been in trouble?
- Of course! We all have been in trouble!
- Actually it’s not a matter of, “if” you are going to have trouble but “when” you have trouble.
- But wouldn’t it be amazing to know that when you find yourself in trouble that you had a promise from God Himself that He would rescue you?
- He says, “Call on me.” He gives you His phone number!
- He says, “When you are in trouble, I will rescue you!”
- This is the same one who is described in verse 1 as “The Mighty One”
- In verse 10, He says, “All the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills.”
- He has everything at his disposal.
- But there is a condition to calling and receiving His help.
- Verse 14 says, “Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High.”
- You need to have thankfulness in your heart, that He hears you and that He answers you, and you need to remember any vows or commitments, that you made to Him.
- Don’t forget them!
- When you surrendered all to the Lord and gave youR life to Him, you gave him access to all of your life!
- You literally died to “self” and all of your old ways and you became a new person with new desires from Him.
- Remember your commitments! It’s very important!
- And if there is anything that you have not fulfilled, then renew your commitment to Him today!
- If you want His help, then help Him hear your voice!
- When you do your part, He will do His part!
- He says, “‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’”(Jeremiah 33:3)
- Today, remember your commitment to the Lord and call on His name and I know He will answer!
- Have a great Monday!
