DEVO. 08.12.25
“O Lord, I give my life to you. I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.” ((Psalms 25:1-2 NLT))
- Psalm 25 is a great prayer of commitment that you can pray every day.
- It’s a reminder to whom you belong.
- You literally have an opportunity to say, “Lord, I give my life to you!” first thing in the morning.
- If we aren’t careful, we will give our lives to many different things and then give our leftovers to God.
- But when you pray this Psalm and say, “Lord, I give my life to you!”, you are also saying what you do not give your life to.
- This prayer is part of “seeking first the kingdom of God.”
- You are saying, “I will not give my life to social media.”
- Or, “I will not give my life to the approval of others.”
- Or, “I will not give my life to my job.”
- Or, “I will not give my life to any other activity or event. Not even yourself!
- When you give your life to someone, your life is in their hands! Your desires are what they desire.
- Your hope is found in them.
- Your success is in them!
- When you say, “God, I trust in You”, you are placing all of your current success and all of your future plans and dreams in His hands.
- This is what it truly means to say, “In God I trust”
- I’m not trusting in money, position or power! God, I trust in you!
- You know that God will bless you and fulfill you!
- Today is a great day to pray Psalm 25.
- Pray it and then live it out!
- Have a great Tuesday!
