DEVO. 07.23.26
“And the Child continued to grow and become strong [in spirit], filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor, spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him. (Luke 2:40 AMP)
- You were created to grow!
- Ever since you were born, it is a story of growth.
- As your body grows, you become taller.
- As your muscles grow you become stronger.
- As your mind grows, you should become wiser.
- As your heart grows you should become more compassionate.
- There comes a time where you stop growing physically but there should never be a time where you stop growing spiritually!
- There’s always room to grow!
- It says that Jesus continued to grow and become strong [in spirit], filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor, spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him.
- If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, just like Jesus grew, you should continue to grow!
- And just like Jesus, as He grew Gods grace and favor grew upon Him, giving Him the power and ability to accomplish all that God had prepared for Him.
- How about you? Are you continuing in your growth, spiritually?
- Is your faith growing?
- Are you still dreaming God sized dreams or have you given up and packed up the dreams?
- I believe that God has more for all of us!
- Look at the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22 and ask your self, “Where have I stopped growing?”
- They are, “Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
- Pick a fruit and ask yourself, “Am I still growing in Patience or do I have more room to grow?”
- Don’t look at someone else, look at yourself.
- Ask, “Am I still growing in self-control or could I focus on that more?”
- But remember, as you focus on the fruit in your life, it is not an invitation for you to work harder, it’s an area to surrender more.
- Galatians 5 says, “The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit.”
- That means, you need to die to self and yield to the Spirit!
- The Spirit will produce the fruit and God will give you the grace and favor to continue to grow as you trust Him!
- Never give up and continue to grow!
- Have a great Thursday!
