DEVO. 07.08.26

“For no word from God will ever fail.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭37‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

- If you’ve got a word from God, you can count on it.

- The angel Gabriel had just told Mary that she would conceive and give birth to the Messiah.

- When Mary said “How can this happen?” Gabriel told her “The Holy Spirit will come upon you”

- Then to confirm that word, the angel said “What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month.” (Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭36‬)

- I love that phrase “people used to say”

- Are there any things that people used to say over you?

- Maybe you’ve even said it over yourself.

- Things like, “I’m not smart enough”

- “You will never change.” “It’s no use.” “You never do anything right.”

- “Your life is a mess.” “You are so accident prone.”

- Anytime you feel like rehearsing the negative, take out a big eraser out and replace it with the Word of the Lord.

- If Elizabeth only believed people’s words then she would never be able to conceive. She had to be able to believe the Word of God which never fails!

- She had to believe that nothing is impossible with God.

- When the world says you are unable, God says able!

- When the world says you are cursed, you say, “I am blessed”

- When the world says you will always be sick, you say “I am healed, in Jesus name.”

- When someone says that you are a mess, tell them that “you are God’s masterpiece. He has created you anew in Christ Jesus, so you can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”(Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- When you feel rejected, tell yourself “I am chosen in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love.” (Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬)

- When someone points out who you used to be, tell them that you “are a new creation in Christ Jesus. According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, God’s word says “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

- You don’t have to accept the words of man when you have the Word of God!

- Hold tightly to His Word!

- “For no word from God will ever fail.”
