DEVO. 05.17.25

“If my people who are called by my name.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

- Have you ever thought about what it means to be “Called by the name of the Lord”

- God’s name is powerful!

- God’s name is mighty!

- It’s a name that exceeds human understanding.

- Throughout scripture God reveals His name.

- To Abram, God reveals Himself as “El Shaddai” which means "God Almighty."

- This name shows God’s supreme power and sufficiency! There’s nothing more powerful than Him!

- There is no situation too difficult for Him.

- To Abraham he revealed himself as Jehovah Jireh, This name means that he is your provider. It shows that God can provide for any need that you have and He ultimately provided salvation through His Son, Jesus.

- To Moses he revealed Himself as Yahweh, “I am who I am”. This speaks of His unchanging presence and faithfulness to His people.

- He is “I am who I am” and He can be who you need Him to be!

- He is!

- If you need Healing, He is!

- If you need wisdom, He is!

- If you need Truth, He is!

- If you need direction, He is!

- If you need freedom, He is!

- If you need Salvation, He is!

- He is everything and He has everything that you need!

- Then in 1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬, it says, “You are”.

- It says, “You are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”

- Because “He is”, “You are”!

- ‭‭He is saying that you are not ordinary, you are extraordinary!

- He says that everything that God has, you have.

- The next time that you see that you are “Called by His name”, stop and come to the understanding of what that actually means.

- You are called by the greatest name of all!

- You have everything that you need to fulfill the will of God.

- You are part of the family of God!

- Today, walk in the authority of that name!
