DEVO. 05.11.26

““And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭45‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- How are you helping those who are considered “less than?”

- The ones that aren’t the same social class as you?

- The needy?

- The helpless?

- Because how you treat them is how you treat Jesus.

- Matthew 25:41 is a very alarming scripture. It says, ““Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.”

- ‭‭Standing before the King will be those who are expecting to hear, “Well done!”, “You’ve been faithful”, only to hear “Get away from me, you have been unfaithful”

- They were expecting to hear, “You are blessed”- instead they hear, “You cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.”

- Do you realize how terrifying that would be?

- He said, you are being thrown into “Eternal Fire”

- Eternal means that there is no end!

- It goes on and on and on forever!

- All because they ignored the words of the one that they called “Lord” on Sunday and chose to do their own will the rest of the week.

- It’s calling Him Lord and not doing what He says! (Luke 6:46)

- It can be as simple as living for the applause of man and not serving the real needs around you.

- It’s living for the rewards and praises that people speak over you and at the same time ignoring the needs and the hurting all around you!

- Jesus says, “You were refusing to help Me.”

- None of us would ever refuse to help Jesus if we could see Him!

- The question is, “Are you seeing Him?”

- Is He standing in front of you each day and are you looking past Him?

- Is He right in your face but you are more concerned about your needs, position and wants that you don’t see Him?

- This decision has eternal consequences!

- Today, open your spiritual eyes!

- Look at the needs all around you!

- Humble yourself and serve!

- Give of what you have, in order to help the “have nots.”

- Love on the unloved!

- Bring hope to those who are hopeless.

- Do something for those who can’t do anything for you!

- Ask God to help you see what He sees before it’s too late!

- Today ask Jesus to help you see!
