DEVO. 02.10.25
"The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time" (Psalm 34:18, 19 NLT)
- The Amplified puts it this way, "Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous."
- If you face troubles and difficulty, know this, you are not alone.
- If you are a follower of Christ you are going to face things that are difficult, things that stretch your faith and things that you don't understand.
- You can count on hardships.
- The amplified version says "MANY evils will confront you."
- They will test you, they will try to wear you out and rob your joy.
- But that's not the end of the verse ... There's a big "BUT" right in the middle.
- "but the LORD comes to the rescue each time".
- Each and every time.
- It is His power and strength that carries us on.
- Surrender to the strength that God provides
- His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
- 2 Chron. 16:9 says, "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him."
- Isaiah 40:29 says, "He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength."
- He wants to show Himself strong on your behalf.
- He wants to give you Hope in the middle of your storm.
- He wants to give you His power.
- Look at the words of Jesus in John 16:33, "In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]
- Your situation cannot harm you, it can only strengthen you!
- Rely on His strength today!
- Trust in His abilities and Power!
- Take courage.
- Be confident.
- Be certain.
- Be Fearless!
- Have a great Monday!
