DEVO. 09.09.26
““Be dressed and ready for active service, and keep your lamps continuously burning.”
(Luke 12:35 AMP)
- Jesus says that we are to be dressed and ready and to keep our lamps burning!
- He says continually!
- We must always be prepared and ready, spiritually, to share our faith, our love for Jesus or to serve others.
- We must keep our hearts pure, our minds pure and love others unconditionally!
- “You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”” (Luke 12:40)
- Jesus is saying, don’t become lazy spiritually!
- A prepared servant is a servant who is watching and waiting!
- This Friday, September 11th is the beginning of the Feast of Trumpets. This is one of Gods appointed feasts that has not been fulfilled yet.
- This should be a season of repentance and soul searching.
- It’s a time to prepare for the kings presence.
- It is also known as the time where “no man knows the day or the hour”, which reflects its timing based on the sighting of the new moon.
- This feast symbolizes the return of Christ and the resurrection of the dead.
- This should be a season where we examine our heats!
- Ask yourself tough questions like, is my fire burning as bright as it once was?
- If Jesus was to return today, am I ready?
- Have I made being filled with His Spirit a priority?
- Make this time a time of self evaluation and preparation!
- Fall in love with Jesus all over again by diving into His Word, which is His “Love letter” to you.
- Keep the fire of the Holy Spirit burning inside of you!
- Have a great Wednesday!
