DEVO. 12.10.24
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.” (Isaiah 43:2 AMP)
- The Lord tells the children of Israel that they are going to go through some things.
- He says “When you pass through the waters”
- “When” not “if”
- It’s a guarantee that there will be troubling waters that you will have to go through.
- Not “go around” or avoid.
- We all want to avoid the difficulty, drowning waters or the fire that burns but God doesn’t want you to miss it.
- He says, you will go through it but as you go through it, you will not be overwhelmed.
- You will not drown or perish because, “I will be with you”
- That’s the key!
- In the moments where you feel as if it is to much for you, you realize that it’s not to much for God.
- In those moments where you feel most vulnerable are the moments where He demonstrates His greatest power and protection.
- As you go through it, He shows you why He is God.
- If you avoid it, you will miss the moment of the greatest revelation of His love and care for you.
- Today as you go through your trouble, look to see who is with you.
- You will realize a greater touch by your healer!
- A greater deliverance from your Deliverer.
- You will come to understand a greater peace from the Prince of Peace.
- You didn’t just make it through it, you had an opportunity to draw close to Him and trust in Him in a way that you never could have done before!
- It’s a firsthand experience!
- That’s where you become “More than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him (Romans 8:37)
- Today, consider the deep waters and fire as an opportunity to grow closer and become stronger IN HIM!
- Have a great Tuesday!
