DEVO 11.08.22

Weeping may endure for a night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.” (PSALM‬ ‭30:5‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

- I have two words for you to remember today - “Joy Comes”

- You may be in a season of mourning or weeping, but as long as you remember that Joy is coming, you will have hope!

- Mourning & weeping is not your permanent residency, it’s just a place you are visiting during this season.

- Your permanent residency is in the Joy of the Lord. And Nehemiah 8:10 says that “...the joy of the Lord is your strength!””

- There is a season for everything.

- Ecclesiastes 3:4 says that there is, “A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.”

- There is “a time” but that does not mean that it will be all the time.

- To grieve is important and to mourn the loss of someone or something is good as long as you don’t stay there.

- Keep in the back of your mind, tucked away, the knowledge that joy is coming!

- Joy is on its way!

- When someone is coming, you prepare for their arrival.

- So should you, as you come through your time of mourning...prepare for joy.

- Psalm 30:11 says, “You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,”. PSALM‬ ‭30:11‬ ‭

- “Clothed me”, that means that it is something that you put on.

- Get ready!

- Things won’t always feel like this.

- You aren’t going to remain this way.

- Remind yourself that Joy is coming.

- And as you come through your season of grief, get ready to put on and clothe yourself with joy!

- You don’t live as one who has no hope.

- As long as you have the Lord, you have hope!

- Psalm 33:20-21 says, “We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.”

- Put all of you Hope and trust in Him!

- As certain as the sun rising and morning coming after the night, you can be certain that Joy is coming!

- And with it will come a “shout of joy”.

- It will be something so much sweeter and so much more valuable to you!

- Keep that in mind, today...”Joy Comes!”

- It’s on it’s way!

- Have a great Tuesday!
