DEVO. 10.08.24
“But you, Sovereign Lord, help me for your name’s sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me.” (Psalms 109:21 NIV)
- The Psalmist David is calling on the Lord for help in His time of need.
- In the same way, as we face this hurricane, Milton, we can call on the power of almighty God for His name sake!
- Sovereign means that He is supreme!
- He is above all and greater than all!
- There is no power stronger than Him.
- He can Hide us in the shelter of His wings!
- He offers protection to all those who call on His name.
- All strength is found in Him and all blessings flow from Him.
- He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider!
- He is Jehovah Nissi, the Banner over us!
- He is Jehovah Shalom, our peace!
- He is Jehovah Tsidkenu, God our righteousness!
- He is Jehovah Rapha, our God who heals!
- There is no need that He cannot meet.
- He wants us to hold Him at His name.
- He can be trusted and relied on.
- He actually wants to put His name on the line.
- You should never live in fear of a storm when you have a name like our God.
- He is the Creator of All things!
- He is the Alpha and Omega! The beginning and the End!
- So today, call on that great and mighty name!
- Today, we say, “Lord, all our hope is in you!”
- “Help us for your names sake!” And we use your great name and declare that this storm must dissipate in Jesus name!
- Lord, put an end to this storm!
- Lord, build up the faith in your people!
- Out of the goodness of your love, deliver us!
- We thank you Lord because we know that you go before us, behind us and and you surround us!
- When we hide ourselves in you, nothing can get to us!
- God bless you! Have a great Tuesday!
