DEVO. 10.23.23

“But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.” ‭‭(2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- The Apostle Paul is giving instruction to Timothy. - He says, “That in the last days ( the days that we are living in) there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.” (2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭2‬) - He goes on, and I encourage you to read it all. It definitely describes our day. - But he says to Timothy, “But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is. You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance.” (3‬:‭10‬) - He says, don’t act like that but act like this. - He says, know what I’ve taught, how I have lived my life and know your purpose! - That’s Good advice! - If you want to, not just survive these last days but thrive spiritually during these last days, here is a good plan: - 1. Know the word of God! (Study it and live by it.) - 2. Study the way that the apostles lived and let them be your model. “Pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” (2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭22‬) - 3. Know your purpose! God has created you for a purpose and He has a plan for your purpose but you will only find it when you follow the first 2. - Then Remain Faithful! - Don’t waiver with popular opinion! - Remain faithful to the Truth of Gods Word! - Remain faithful and keep your focus on Jesus despite what everyone else is saying! - He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and He will lead you into true life! - Have a great Monday!
