DEVO 10.12.22

“But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.” (‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- Are you confident of your Salvation?

- The Apostle Paul is talking about the return of the Lord Jesus and he says that we should be confident!

- When you hear of the Lords return, it shouldn’t cause fear.

- The thought of the Lords return should stir up your faith!

- Just like a groom telling his bride that he is going to return and marry her and they will spend the rest of their life together.

- If the bride runs away and hides then you know that there is something wrong in their love relationship with each other.

- But, If the bride loves the groom then she is filled with expectation!

- Brides look forward to their wedding day!

- It’s exciting!

- They have prepared for this day and now await the groom.

- That’s what it means to be protected by the armor of faith and love.

- “Faith & Love” says, I have waited for this moment!

- We have the confidence of salvation. The confidence that He will come back for us.

- The anticipation that He will return.

- Jesus has never failed to keep a promise and He’s not about to start now.

- Our job is to make ourselves ready for His return and to get everyone around us ready.

- We are to look forward to that day with great anticipation.

- Today, live your life in the hope and confident assurance of salvation.

- If you have doubts, then examine your love relationship with Jesus.

- If you truly love Him then it should be reflected in the way you live your life, the joy that you carry and the confidence that you possess.

- Have a great Wednesday!
