DEVO. 10.11.23
"I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken." (Psalm 62:1, 2 NLT)
- Are you facing circumstances that seem beyond your control? - Be sure of this...it may be out of your control but its not out of God's control! - Get alone with God this morning. - Wait quietly before Him. - Waiting quietly means that you get His perspective. - You see your situation through His eyes. - David says, "He alone is your rock and my salvation." - He ALONE! - That means that you trust completely in Him. - Not money. - Not people. - Not in talking more about the problem. - Not in complaining. - Everything you need comes from Him - He is your fortress ...when you trust in Him, nothing can shake your Peace. - In The Message paraphrase, verse 5-7 says, God, the one and only— I'll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not? He's solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I'm set for life. My help and glory are in God —granite-strength and safe-harbor-God— So trust him absolutely, people; lay your lives on the line for him. God is a safe place to be. - Lay your lives on the line for Him! - Give up on your own methods, strategies and plans. - Surrender your own ways of fixing things. - Make it God and God alone. - Wait on Him. - Trust in Him. - Rely on Him. - Ask yourself, today, in what ways am I not trusting in God? - What areas of my life am I not waiting on Him? - Then whatever it is - surrender it to Him. - Don't spend any more of your energy worrying. - Everything you hope for comes from Him, anyway. - He is your source. - Victory comes from Him alone! - Have a great Wednesday!
