DEVO. 09.27.23
“So I, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called [that is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior--a life that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation].” EPHESIANS 4:1 AMP
- The apostle Paul tells us to live a life worthy of our calling! - The Amplified version gives a little more detail as to what that looks like. - I think this is a good place for us to do a self examination. - The examination would be to ask yourself, “Am I living this kind of a life?” - Do I exhibit Godly character wherever I am? - If we are asking about character, then we must know that character is shown by who we are when no one is looking. - Do I have moral courage? - Am I a person who has personal integrity? - Can I be trusted by others? - Do I demonstrate mature behavior or do I act immature? - Does my life express gratitude to God, daily, for my salvation? - After you have taken the time to review that and examine yourself, then ask your closest friend, someone who really know you! - Ask them what your life looks like to those around you. - You may be surprised. - Then after you’ve gone through this list, surrender your life fresh and new to Jesus and ask the Holy Spirit to give you the power and strength to live out the life that He has called you to live! - He can strengthen all of your weakness! - He can breath new life into you. - He can give you the power to do what you cannot on your own. - Go forward and live out a life worthy of your God given calling! - Have a great Wednesday!
