DEVO 09.25.24

DEVO. 09.25.24

“So I, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called [that is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior--a life that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation]...”

(‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

- The apostle Paul tells us to live a life worthy of our calling!

- Think about that… a life worthy of being brought out of darkness and into His light.

- A life that says, “I was once a slave to my sin and unable to be free… but Now!

- Now, look what the Lord has done, as I walk in freedom every day.

- I was once cursed but now I am blessed!

- I was one in poverty but now I live in his abundance!

- The Amplified version gives a little more detail as to what that looks like.

- I think this is a good place for us to do a self examination.

- The examination would be to ask yourself, “Am I living this kind of life?”

- Do I exhibit Godly character wherever I am?

- If we are asking about character, then character is shown by who you are when no one is looking.

- Do I have moral courage?

- Am I a person who has personal integrity?

- Can I be trusted by others?

- Do I demonstrate mature behavior or do I act immature?

- Does my life express extreme gratitude to God, daily, for my salvation?

- Today, express your gratitude by surrendering your life fresh and new to Jesus and ask the Holy Spirit to give you the power and strength to live out the life that He has called you to live!

- He can strengthen all of your weakness!

- He can breath me life into you.

- He can give you the power to do what you cannot on your own.

- Go forward and live out a life worthy of your God given calling!

- Have a great Wednesday!
