DEVO 09.19.22

"Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” (Joshua 3:5 NIV)

- This is the first week of 21 Days of fasting & prayer as a church.

- In today’s scripture Joshua has lead the children of Israel to the Promised Land.

- He instructs them to "Consecrate Themselves"

- There is significance in Consecrating something... Especially when it is "You".

- To consecrate means, "To Be set apart" and "To be completely dedicated to God".

- It means getting rid of and throwing out ALL dependence on self.

- All self sufficiency is done away with and you become completely dependent on God.

- As the Children of Israel entered the promised land they were going to need God more than ever before.

- If they were going to see God do "Amazing Things", then they were going to need Him.

- Their part was "Consecrating themselves", and God's part was "Amazing Things."

- Don't confuse the two.

- You will never see "Amazing Things" without God...I mean really Amazing things!

- You are going to need to consecrate yourself if you are going to see God sized miracles in your life.

- God was about to show them His kind of Amazing, once again.

- In just a few steps He was going to part the waters as they walk across on dry ground.

- The Jordan River, at flood stage, stood between them and the promise.

- So what stands between you and God's promise?

- Have you consecrate yourself?

- Have you removed anything in your life that will keep you from seeing God do the Amazing.

- Do you need God to do something only He can do?

- Restore that broken relationship?

- Heal that sickness?

- Break that addiction?

- Consecrate yourself!

- I encourage you to Remove anything in your life that is blocking you from a deeper walk with God.

- Do your part and then wait on Him.

- We let God do the amazing things!

- Lets watch and see what God does and How He does it.

- As you sit on the edge of your promise, follow Gods instructions.

- You’ve already cultivated your spiritual heart.

- Now it’s time to be led by His Spirit.

- The first step is a huge step of faith.

- For the Israelites it was stepping into the Jordan river at flood season.

- They stepped and God parted the waters!

- What’s your first step of faith?

- As you take the step, allow God to perform the miracle!

- Watch as God shows you His Amazing!

- Have a great Weekend!
