DEVO 09.15.22

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭121:1-2‬ ‭NKJV

- Where do you or who do you look to when you need help?

- The Psalmist has already determined that His help comes from the Lord.

- He also qualifies His Help.

- He says, He is the one who “made Heaven and earth.”

- He’s not just the Lord who made the ground we stand on, but He is the Lord over the Heavens above us.

- The one who created the Universe is the same one who you can rely on to help us in our time of need.

- So you could decide to turn to people who will eventually let you down, or

- You could turn to your bank account which will run out, or

- You could turn to your doctor who will one day not be able to heal the problem, or

- You could place your trust in the Lord!

- He is an all powerful God!

- He is involved in the intricate details of our life and yet He still keeps the Universe in motion.

- He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

- He is all knowing and He can reveal a problem to you even before it hits or He could help you after your problem arrives.

- He doesn’t just have one answer.

- He is the answer to every problem and He can Help through every difficulty!

- His name is the Lord!

- That means He is Master, Ruler and He has absolute control!

- So today, choose, in advance, where you are going to go when trouble hits.

- Because it not a matter of “if” trouble hits but, “when” trouble hits.

- When it hits, the absolutely best place you can run is to the Lord.

- The next verse says, “He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.”

- ‭He is not going to sleep on the job of watching over your life.

- Trust Him and rely on Him today!

- Have a great Thursday!
