DEVO 09.01.22

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:14‬ (NKJV‬‬)

- The apostle Paul was compelled by the love of Christ.

- To be compelled means to be controlled.

- In this context, the word translated ‘compels’ [συνέχω] means to powerfully urge along a line of conduct.

- It's an impulse that is so great that it evokes a strong response.

- When we truly come to terms with what Christ has done for us, it will change us.

- His love demands a response.

- We can respond by either accepting His love or rejecting His love, but either way it demands a response.

- If we accept it, it should change everything.

- It should change the way we think.

- The way we love.

- The way we pray.

- The way we give.

- The way we trust.

- The way that we think.

- The way that we act.

- It should change everything!

- The question is this, Do you fully grasp what His love has done for you?

- Do you realize what you have been saved from?

- You have been saved "From" something, but you have been saved "To" something, as well.

- Saved from sin and eternal separation from God, but save "to" join Him in an amazing new adventure and life that He has planned out for you!

- Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

- ‭‭You are His masterpiece... His workmanship!

- He created you to do something great with Him.

- Not just, "someday", but today!

- God is calling you to do something great that He has already prepared for you.

- All you have to do is take that first step of faith.

- That first small step will be followed by many little steps as you walk in what He has prepared.

- But you will never know until you take that first step!

- Today, embrace His Love and discover what it means to be compelled by His love!

- Have a great Thursday!
